The attorneys for the eight men finally sent to war torn South Sudan did all that they could to keep their clients safe. Even after the Supreme Court generally allowed the Trump administration to send convicted non-citizens under deportation orders to third countries, rather than back to the country of origin, the advocates did not automatically act as if the order applied to their clients. They continued to seek a stay in District Court, but to no avail. The men landed in South Sudan yesterday.
Deportation to third countries; a rush to denaturalize immigrants who became citizens; ongoing raids of construction workers, farm workers, hospitality industry employees – note that none of these targets are violent criminals, the worst of the worst that Donald Trump said he would remove first.
The cruelty seems to be the point. The fear seems to be enjoyable. And even the person not on the Trump payroll that’s most responsible for him winning the White House expressed how appalled he is.
Joe Rogan, the de facto king of the Manosphere, continues to take shots at the president he endorsed for going after migrant workers, calling the workplace raids “insane” and saying he should be going after cartel members instead. But it’s too little too late, Joe, and no one is listening anyway.
Today, the attention of MAGA world seemed to be on the Justice Department reneging on it’s very public assertion it would be releasing Jeffrey Epstein’s client list. That would be the list that Elon Musk claimed contained the president’s name. Conspiracy theories abound, and that’s what’s important to the president’s supporters…as migrants and citizens alike have a growing need to look over their shoulders.

Really wish I could say, “I’m leaving on a jet plane…don’t know if I’ll be back again.” Unfortunately that takes money I don’t have.
