Officials at the Federal Bureau of Investigation are administering polygraphs to agents to test their loyalty to the Trump administration and its agenda, the New York Times reported today. Apparently, no one informed Trump cabinet members in their government job orientation, that if you do your job well, or at least constitutionally, you don’t have to worry about what underlings will tell their media contacts. That’s just one component of the meltdown happening at the FBI.

Another is that Deputy Director Dan Bongino was believed to have quit the agency today over Pam Bondi’s decision not to release Jeffrey Epstein’s client list. He didn’t go to work today after a reported argument with the attorney general. He is still weighing whether to stay in the job according to a report from NBC News, because his reputation as an Epstein transparency proponent is being shattered by Pam Bondi’s change of heart. Meanwhile, Steve Bannon is out sounding the MAGA alarm to the president, telling him that the continuance of the movement depends on answering questions that were raised by the Epstein case!

This is like watching a Twilight Zone episode. This unusual drama is playing out as the following swirls around it. Donald Trump has just successfully passed a bill that significantly increases government spending, though Trump was elected by a MAGA following that wants spending reduced. He has threatened another round of sky-high tariffs on various countries, including Canada, without rhyme or reason. He campaigned on getting out of foreign wars but bombed Iran on behalf of Israel and is sending more weaponry to Ukraine, against the wishes of most of his base. Additionally, the country is now markedly more positive toward immigration’s contribution to American society than it was before the 2024 election, particularly Republicans.

According to a new Gallup poll out today, only forty-eight percent think immigration should be decreased, down from 88 percent who felt that way last year. This same poll also says only 13 percent of Republicans disapprove of Donald Trump’s handling of the immigration issue. It’s enough to make your head spin almost as much as the ferocity over the Epstein files.

While the idea of the nation’s federal law enforcement agency imploding should be a cause for concern for every American, perhaps it is evidence that the needed awakening has in fact begun. Members of the Manosphere are publicly complaining that much of what has happened over the last six months is not what they voted for. In short, the bros are angry with their hero. One, podcaster Andrew Schulz is on record saying the only real “America first” politicians are on the left! He’s naming AOC, Bernie and yes, Zohran Mamdani!

Twilight Zone, folks. All the way. It’s a good thing the bros don’t have to take the polygraph.
