Tanya D. Davis created Quips & Clips after a long career in corporate television news media. She recently departed NBC’s Meet the Press, where she was an interview producer, edit manager, senior producer of the magazine program and co-manager of the intern program. She began her work at NBCUniversal as a segment producer on Morning Joe at the start of the COVID pandemic.
Her career in television news began in 1995 as a freelance writer and producer for Reuter’s International TV. Since then, she’s worked for media outlets across the political spectrum, from Fox News Channel, when it launched in 1996, to BET News to C-SPAN.

Ms. Davis came to C-SPAN after graduating from Georgetown University Law Center. She was a producer on the morning news program Washington Journal and later went on to C-SPAN’s Book TV, where she oversaw production of the programs After Words and In-Depth.
She has now returned to her roots in print news, adding her personal electronic outlet. In 1994, she transitioned from music writer to politics and covered the historic all-race elections in South Africa from Johannesburg, as a freelance writer for the Austin American-Stateman.
Ms. Davis lives in Baltimore with her family, where she’s a journalism instructor at Johns Hopkins University. She also teaches a children’s Kung Fu program in the community.
